Our experience enables us to offer effective outpatient, individualized, psychiatric and mental healthcare. We treat a number of mental health disorders, and provide a neutral ground to individuals, families, and couples. We are available for Telehealth and office services primarily in the Westchester county, Connecticut, NYC metro area and surrounding Counties.

We achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan.

Edward Afful PMHNP-BC is a Board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner licensed in New York State and practices in New York City. Mr Afful is a graduate of Hunter College and has over 10 years experience working in the mental health field in several capacities. He is passionate about mental health and treats his patients with empathy and respect.
Blerita Mulliqi’s mission in therapy is to guide clients to their full potential and to a place of well-being. A graduate of LIU with an M.S. in Mental Health Counseling, Blerita works collaboratively with Edward Afful at Urban Light Psychiatric to provide a safe environment for individuals to resolve inner conflict and lessen the stress

Throughout Blerita’s 8 years of tenure in the mental health field, and as an employee at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, she has helped clients through crisis management by using prevention techniques and coping skills.

Bipolar disorder is a serious mental illness. People who have it go through unusual mood changes. They go from very happy, "up," and active to very sad and hopeless, "down," and inactive, and then back again. They often have normal moods in between, the causes of bipolar disorder aren't always clear; It runs in families amongst other factors. If not treated, bipolar disorder can lead to damaged relationships, lead to poor job or school performance, among others.
Insurance accepted/Fees
Currently we accept CIGNA, United Healthcare, United behavioral Health, United Oxford, OPTUM Behavioral Health, AETNA, 1199SEIU, Medicare AARP, MVP, Heathfirst, more payers to follow soon. Out of Network costs as follows; initial visit and evaluation is $450-$500 per visit and follow up with psychotherapy, medication management, counseling and support is $200-$350
